GROUP LEADER ROLE DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE: Compass Groups foster faith growth and connection, supporting our church’s vision to multiply disciples. Group Leaders create spaces for members to take steps in faith, ultimately becoming multipliers who help others grow.

KEY GROUP RESPONSIBILITIES

-Meet regularly as a group during the Spring and Fall.

-Help Group Members take their next steps of faith.

-Practice the 4 Cores.

- Actionable Truth - Lead with Questions

- Common Ownership-The Hand-Off

- Time Together - The Intentional Shift

- Steady Prayer - The Verse Prayer

- Keep the vision of Group Multiplication

- Take Attendance as part of partnering with Compass in discipling Group Members

- Communicate with Compass staff through email, phone or text

- Attend Leader Trainings

PERSONAL LIFE

- Baptized by immersion, continuing to grow as a follower of Jesus.

- Model for others the importance of next steps.
